About the Series:

The Institute is fortunate to host some remarkable thinkers. Library Chats is a new series of filmed conversations bringing together Fellows, Visitors and guests in discussion of their work. Ranging from global warming to the art of filming street protest, from poetry to human rights, the Chats will traverse a terrain of ideas both contemporary and reflective.

Alessandra Giannini

Alessandra Giannini is a climate scientist with over 15 years of engagement in international collaboration in scientific research and in science-policy dialogues, especially in Africa, Alessandra Giannini is best known for her post-doctoral work that conclusively demonstrated the oceanic origin of Sahel drought.
